Lilly Athletic Campus
Greencastle, IN
DePauw University is a private university founded in 1837 located in Greencastle, IN. The Lilly Center is the University’s primary indoor fitness and recreation facility, and serves as the competition home for basketball, swimming and diving, and volleyball. Wilhelm oversaw the renovation of the University’s football, soccer, and multipurpose playing fields. Specific additions included laying new synthetic turf onto the football, soccer and lacrosse fields, urethane track and field event surfaces to comply with NCAA Division III standards, and a multipurpose building including four locker rooms and bleachers that seat up to 750 spectators.
The Lilly Recreation Center serves as DePauw University’s main indoor fitness and recreation facility. Future design elements were considered as the University replaced the natatorium roof so it could be converted into a practice gymnasium. Fitness training areas and a mezzanine of cardio equipment now overlook the pool and several upgrades to varsity locker rooms, labs, and multipurpose spaces. This project was awarded LEED Gold Certification.
