Fall Creek Combined Sewer Overflow
Indianapolis, IN
This project was part of Citizen Energy Group’s tunnel program, diverting wet weather flow from combined sewers to tunnels to prevent untreated water from entering waterways. It involved constructing cast-in-place structures at the Fall Creek Combined Consolidation Sewer Phase I project, supporting existing sewers, building five diversion structures, installing precast manholes and HOBAS piping, jack and boring a line underneath Fall Creek Road, and replacing pavement. Earth retention and dewatering systems were needed due to depth requirements, and traffic control coordination was crucial due to the proximity of Fall Creek Road to minimize disruption.
