Located at the south end of Morse Reservoir, this new 6,000-foot facility houses three horizontal pressure filters, three high service pumps with a capacity of 1,375 GPM to 3,000 GPM, and one 4,260 GPM backwash pump. The project also involved the construction and installation of two aerators and welded steel detention tanks. Finished water is stored in a one-million-gallon post-tensioned finished water storage tank. Backwash water is stored in an open top post-tensioned tank prior to discharge to the sanitary sewer system. This project is in the center of a subdivision and immediately behind houses. Coordination to minimize disruptions was a high priority.
