As one of the leading global manufacturers of PP-based, biobased, and biodegradable films, Taghleef implemented state-of-the-art equipment with proprietary features in their production facility near Terre Haute, Indiana. With its tailor-made design and a production capacity ranging from 10 to 18 Ktons per year, this new coating line allows the company to serve new high-value segments and enter emerging markets, like smart packaging.
This project consisted of a 109,000 SF renovation of food grade production alongside occupied lines. Wilhelm was contracted to manage 13 bid packages that included selective, multiple equipment foundations, twenty-five foot deep pit removals, masonry control rooms, 45 ft tall building column relocations, fabrication and installation of many custom platforms, stairs, ladders, handrails, new roofing and flashing, custom door openings for equipment, drywall, painting of under deck, all new mechanical systems, process piping, plumbing, controls, electrical systems, and 25,000 man-hours of self-perform installation of the owner’s imported furnished equipment.
All of this work was completed within nine months from selective demolition to finished product that was shipped to customers.
