The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis required a renovation of the planetarium for its Beyond Spaceship Earth exhibit. The scope of the project included careful demolition of the existing space, remodeling and construction of a new exhibit, and the installation of the NASA Liberty Bell 7 Space Capsule.

Wilhelm successfully achieved the project by utilizing traditional construction techniques to install the NASA Space Capsule in a confined area. Given the priceless value of the space capsule and installation challenges, the review process presented additional challenges.

Despite these challenges and working in crowded site conditions, Wilhelm finished the project on time and within budget illustrating problem solving and construction management at its best.
