As a general contractor, FAW built an advanced zinc metallurgical recovery and processing facility. Using kiln-based technology and process, the facility processes electric arc furnace dust from regional steel mills into iron concentrate and zinc oxide, which is used in sunscreen, ceramics, cosmetics, paints, animal feed products, and tires.

Wilhelm performed over 300,000 CY of earthwork, placed over 35,000 CY of structural concrete, installed over 20,000 LF of UG piping, 25,000 LF of underground conduit, erected over 5,000 tons of structural steel, and built over 221,710 SF of mixed function industrial buildings. Some of the challenges on this project included pouring concrete through winter months, which was mitigated by budgeting for overtime and fine-tuning the project schedule so that other scopes of work could be completed simultaneously.
