Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Quality is very important to Wilhelm. Providing our clients with quality projects is one of our key goals and allows Wilhelm the opportunity to continue working with them on future projects. As the company has grown over the years, there is a greater need for an emphasis on quality. Previously, there were a few people focused on quality. In 2004, the Quality Assurance/Quality Control department was created with Ryan Decker at the helm.

The Quality Assurance department ensures that all scopes of work are executed to meet the contractual requirements of our projects. Team members assist with developing pre-installations and post inspections to assist with the pre-punch list. The goal is to reduce the cost of rework and provide our clients with a project that exceeds their expectations. The department manages long-term warranty issues, warranty callbacks and reviews. An increased area of focus has been focusing on the pre-punch list process to minimize the final punch with the owner. The pre-punch process is critical to a successful completion of a project.

“There is a myth that we only specialize in concrete, which is incorrect. Our team is comprised of experts in all areas of construction. The team includes a master electrician, a punch list expert, and employees with more certifications in concrete, earth work and post tension than most third-party inspectors,” said Decker.

The team of 11 is solutions driven department that serves as a resource to our projects and clients. “We find problems and resolve issues. We must continue to learn about new construction materials and methods of construction. Continuous improvement means continuous learning; we embrace the opportunity to get better each day,” said Ryan Decker, Corporate Quality Assurance Manager.
